As Chapter Two of our year-long 40th Anniversary Celebration, for the 3 days of April 26-28th, 2013, Lucky Dog Books and Paperbacks Plus will mark the 1st Anniversary of the general used bookstore that opened about this time last year at 633 W. Davis in North Oak Cliff.
We’ve had such a warm welcome from this neighborhood that we want this anniversary event to include those who live in or are interested in this vibrant part of Dallas and would like to participate in the festivities.
So we issued a call for those who have something to present to contact us by Thursday, April 25th, to arrange a day and time for their particular activity.
We've had a great response that has provided 15 presenters so far that are detailed in the calender to the left.
Even as we start on Friday with this many things going on, we still have some times available, particularly on Saturday after 6p and this afternoon before 7p if anyone would like to just drop in and play a few songs or recite some stuff.
We’d still be happy to have some sidewalk activities if anyone has any spur of the moment ideas deoending on the weather.
Other store activities will include an ongoing Bookmark Hunt each day, Children’s Storytime hourly Saturday 11-4, and an extra discount for trade-in account holders from the other two locations who make a purchase at this store during the celebration.
We have an unusual space that we’d like for them all, as well as other lovers of books, movies, and music from throughout the area, to be able to see and enjoy.
