40th Anniversary Year
As we pass the 1st anniversary of the Lochwood store and near the same for the Oak Cliff shop,
we want to recognize and celebrate as much of these 40 years of bookstores as we can.
Little did we know in 1973 when we first started a part-time store (Saturday Books)
in 300 sq ft of office space in a corrugated iron warehouse that my dad had built in the 50's in Terrell, Texas,
that we would sell books in 12-13 bookstores over the next 40 years and to customers all around the world.
Many of you may have noticed that we have been revamping our website over the last few months.
This will continue through the year as we add additional resources and history to the material there.
But for now, come help us begin this year's celebration of these 40 Years of Bookstores this week with our..
We will have a couple of additional chapters in the celebration later in the year,
probably in summertime and early November leading
up to Thanksgiving. We will post details as they develop.
